Circus Fitness: Aerial Conditioning Classes
Circus fitness classes can offer not only a tremendous alternative workout, replacing the grind of the gym with something vibrant and social, but they also compliment more technical classes, helping any aspiring circus performer progress their skills.
This aerial conditioning class is a great way to improve your fitness, physique, and co-ordination, offering a well-rounded experience ideal for all. The class is also ideal for those training in other disciplines, whether that’s aerial, floor, or prop based.
The class itself will incorporate aerial conditioning on a range of equipment, including silks, hoops, straps, and trapeze, as well as ground-based partner exercise. The aim is to work all the muscle groups and get you in exceptional shape, whether that’s to master an aerial discipline or just to improve your fitness in a fun and exciting way!
What to wear
When attending an aerial conditioning class, we advise that you wear comfy, stretchy clothing that won’t restrict your movement. Leggings, tracksuit bottoms, tank tops, t-shirts and sports bras are all considered suitable attire for our aerial conditioning classes. However, do keep in mind that baggy clothing will fall in the way when performing acrobatic moves, so try and find something with a tight fit!
We also recommend you take these aerial conditioning classes bare foot to allow for fluid movement, but socks can be worn as long as you’re not in danger of slipping. Additionally, long hair must be tied back, and all jewellery removed.
